The Conservatory of Music at 老司机福利网 invites you to Pacific Percussion Day. 

Join us for an exciting day of open rehearsals, conversations with percussion artists as well as educational sessions with Pacific faculty. This year, we are excited to welcome three special guest artist: , and .

Haruka Fujii

Haruka Fujii, marimba

Internationally acclaimed, Fujii is one of the most prominent solo percussionists and marimbists of her generation. She has performed with the Grammy Award-winning Silkroad Ensemble founded by Yo-Yo Ma.


Jack van Geem

Jack van Geem, concert percussion

Van Geem is principal percussion and assistant timpanist of the San Francisco Symphony. He has performed and recorded with the symphony as a mallet soloist, solo timpanist, snare drum soloist and featured solo percussionist.


Brian Rice

Brian Rice, Brazilian pandeiro

A freelance percussionist and music faculty at UC Berkeley, Rice has been exploring the pandeiro since 1986 when he studied at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. Today he applies it with great effect to Balkan, Celtic, Middle Eastern, Spanish and Cuban music.
