Center for Social Action
Serving as the bridge between SLU volunteers and the community, The Center for Social Action aims to prepare participants to be effective servant leaders and agents for social change. The center also oversees campus-wide service efforts.
Campus Kitchen
This national movement — involving more than 50 high schools and universities — started at SLU in 2001. Today, SLU's Campus Kitchen volunteers cook and deliver more than 2,500 meals to our neighbors in need every month.
Community-Based Clinics and Centers
Faculty and students in our Legal Clinics and School of Medicine have helped underserved St. Louisans for decades. We’re also a founding and sustaining partner of , a non-profit health clinic that provides care to immigrants in the region.
Micah Program
Named for the Biblical prophet Micah, who spoke out against social injustice, the Micah Program brings students together who are committed to performing service at various places throughout the city of St. Louis, such as schools and tutoring programs.
Billiken Teacher Corps
Through this unique partnership with the Archdiocese of St. Louis, students in the Billiken Teacher Corps teach in urban Catholic schools and live together in a faith-based community as they pursue their master’s degrees in education here at SLU.
College Access Programs
Through our access and college-readiness programs, we help underrepresented students prepare for and succeed at SLU. We also recently committed to strengthening our efforts to enroll students from disadvantaged areas in St. Louis.
